Heimkoma's first property in Húsafell
We are proud to announce that Heimkoma has purchased its first holiday home. This is a significant and personal milestone for us, marking the beginning of Heimkoma's first community. The house is in Húsafell, a beautiful setting that brings together nature, tranquillity and accessibility.
The house is spacious, bright and thoughtfully laid out over two floors, making it well suited to families and groups of friends. The main house sleeps eight and the guest house another two, for ten guests in total. There is a sauna and hot tub, and a large deck wraps around the house, connecting indoor and outdoor spaces beautifully.
Thoughtful upgrades and Heimkoma's vision
The house was in very good condition when we bought it. We therefore chose careful upgrades rather than radical changes: cosmetic improvements, renewal and refurbishment with a clear goal of making everything look like new while preserving the property's character. The interiors will be styled throughout and all furniture updated in collaboration with TEKK , with consistency, quality and practicality in mind.
We also plan to add a cold plunge pool and make the property a true retreat, bringing together hot and cold, indoors and outdoors, tranquillity and nature. This is part of the overall experience we want Heimkoma to represent.

This is the first property in Heimkoma's first community, which will soon go on sale. We can also reveal that we have already found a house we like in Akureyri, where we aim to buy house number two. We will share more details and photos soon.
